Woolwich PPI Claims

Woolwich Building Society was a fixture on the high street in the 1980's and 90's but was victim of consolidation and takeovers in the Financial services industry. "Your money's safe with the Woolwich" was an iconic advert from the time.

Claim

In 1997 the Woolwich demutualised and became the Woolwich Bank. This made it susceptible to a takeover which happened in 2000 when the Woolwich was bought out by Barclays. The Woolwich brand was retained for a while and in 2006 it became the brand used for Barclays mortgages and the Woolwich branches were closed down or rebranded. During this time the bank/building society sold PPI which may be subject to a Woolwich PPI claim form.

If you think you were mis-sold PPI by the Woolwich either as a building society or bank customer, or as part of the Barclays group then you should use our PPI claim letter and send your Woolwich PPI claim to::

It is important that making PPI claims from the Woolwich are possible if either you did not agree to the service, or want or need it. There are also cases where people have agreed to use and pay for the service, but after their loan agreement finished, they realised that they did not need it but carried on paying. However, just because you did not use it during the period, does not necessarily mean that they are due a refund.
